Great for little years, not built for pre-teen
We LOVED this skirt in sz.8 and 10...it was my daughter's go-to school uniform. Always came out of the wash crisp and stayed nice all day...nor wrinkled hem or twisty spots. WIN. However, if your girl is starting to develop, it is time to say goodbye to Gymboree. Eventhough my daughter still easily fits in sz. 12 clothing from most other manufacturers, gymboree no longer accommodates her developing curves. This makes me sad. Also, our local stores do not include dressing rooms and as your child grows, you can no longer guess or assume something fits. And THEY want to see what it looks like on them and have confidence in heir clothes. Gymboree is great for the littles...I've loved it for years, but it is not for pre-teens even if they technically wear that size.

Great quality skirt
This is a beautiful uniform skirt. Doesn't need much (if any) ironing. I love the fact that these have pockets. That adds a unique quality. I ordered a size 6 for my first grader and it fits her nicely but she probably will not be able to use this skirt for next year. I would size up (especially with the adjustable waist). I wish these came with built in shorts and unfortunately they do not.

Perfect fit!
I needed a skirt for my daughter's AHG uniform and this fit the bill! She is 5 years old and 36" tall, 36lbs and I ordered this skirt in a size 5. It fits her well (I just needed to tighten the waist one notch on either side) and the bottom of the skirt hits just above the knee. The skirt seems to be well made and it has pockets! I also ordered the bike shorts in gym navy and they work perfectly for wearing underneath this skirt. I will definitely be buying this skirt again when my daughter moves up to the next size!

Uniform Skirt
Was hoping to love this, however the fit was way off for us. The size 6, our typical size, sat way up around or above my daughter's belly button and was just not comfortable for her. Unfortunately, had to return.

Good quality but wish it were longer
Bought a size 6 this for my kindergartener who is 5 years old. Should have purchased a size 5. Anyway, glad it had the elastic to cinch it in for a better fit! I do wish it was a little longer in length. Why do little girls need to wear such short skirts? Would also love to see a longer skirt with box pleats, like the skort, in the future.

Sorry - not worth it!
While I love the Gymboree style and selection, I'm ordering from Canada, and the duties are so high that it's simply not worth ordering online....
