Rated 1 out of 5 by gtgrad08 from Ruined After Wearing Once I bought this in a 6-12 month size and it is a little big on my baby, but she's on the petite side, so that doesn't upset me much. What does upset me is that the color has bled all over everything. The white portion of the suit is now pink/purple and the body of the suit is varying degrees of light and dark purple. I've tried soaking it in oxyclean, but that's only made it worse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mom-mom from Sparkle seashell beach beauty Another great purchase for mom-mom's girl! She's 3 years old so I went with a 3T, it fits her perfect and was a hit for her at the beach. She loves purple and she loved the suit. It held up great even in the salt water of the ocean.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Farewell ;( from So disappointed The style is cute but unfortunately that's where the postive ends. Like other reviews indicate, the color bleeds. This was rinsed in cold water and hung to dry, it bled over other suits and bled onto the white detail at the top of the suit. We followed the care instructions exactly and seeing as though others had this same issue, the suit never should have been put in the stores for consumers to purchase. My kids are now 3 and 6, when they were younger, Gymboree was my favorite place to shop for them! I appreciated the styles and felt I was getting good value with clothes that wore well. This suit truly is the last straw for me as I'm so disappointed with the quality now. I would say I've noticed a difference within the past 18 months. Ruffled leggings are a lesser quality for my daughter though the label indicates the same fabric. The color fades much quicker and pills a bit (her others never did that--smaller sizes, that is). Newer leggings split down the crotch and my son's khaki's lost buttons...these things, of course, are easy fixes...but adding up these experiences plus the swim suit is just a sad ending. I realize much thought (and money) is required by companies to put their product out there...sadly this consumer can't afford any more misses. Thanks for the memories.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Disappointing So disappointed in Gymboree swim this year. This was one of 2 suits that the colors bled terribly onto itself (with this one, the purple suit ran onto the white shell scalloping). It looks awful and junky now. The bum and belly fit way too large for the older "toddlers" (4 and 5) who are out of diapers. This looked so cute on the rack, but was a complete waste of money.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Willabe from Color Bleeds This suit is super-cute and fits my chunky two-year-old well, but the color bled onto the white part even though I was only rinsing the suit in cold water--rendering the suit unwearable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LucyLou from Color Bleeds! First of all, I love the style of this suit as does my daughter, which makes it all the more heartbreaking for me to give a negative review (which I seldom seem to do). I thought you should be aware that the purple color bleeds onto the white. The first suit I purchased was worn once. I then washed it on gentle cycle and when I took it out of the laundry, the purple was in splotches all over the white scalloped segment. I returned to Gymboree, no problem and exchanged for another suit hoping I just got a defective batch of fabric or something. With the replacement suit, she wore it maybe 3-4 times, washed in between each use with no issues. On the 4-5th use, after swim class, the color bleeding had begun again, and although not to the same extent as with the first suit, it was nevertheless there. This was immediately after her swim class, before washing the suit after the pool. I'm disappointed because I've never experienced this with Gymboree clothes before and thought it should be mentioned. She loves the style and we will keep this one since it's been worn, but I would not recommend this suit to anyone and Gymboree needs to be aware of the fabric defect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by GandCsMommy from Runs WAY too big and have to return I purchased this for my nearly 4 1/2 year old daughter and she was so excited to get it. I only ordered her a 4t because she's on the lower end of the spectrum for weight. This suit is baggy on the sides 1-2 inches! It almost fits in the length so I can't get her a smaller size. I guess I need to return it. Now I have an upset little girl who won't get to wear this adorable swim suit. Swim suits should stretch to fit different sizes...

Rated 1 out of 5 by Heather P from Fuchsia bleeds all over white Online this swimsuit looked very cute, but unfortunately it was not nearly as cute on my daughter. I should have sent it back, but decided to use it instead. My daughter wears a size 4 in other Gymboree clothing, but a 4 in this swimsuit looks baggy and frumpy. That's bad enough, but then when the fuchsia bled all over the white top of the swimsuit, the overall look was that much worse. I definitely DO NOT recommend this suit.
