Cute, but runs large

Beautiful, the only reason for taking off 1 star is that the skirts seem to always run big. My almost 8 year old can't wear the size 7 skirt yet because it is too wide at the waist, so we will have to wait until next year or the year after. She can wear size 7 or size 8 just fine with other gymboree clothing items, but the skirts seem to always be a little on the larger side.
