Run super big and very thick material

I bought matching pajamas for my husband, 1 year old and myself and despite following the sizing chart they are super big! The small I ordered myself fits my husband and the 12-18 months I ordered my little boy who is underweight and skinny fits him small. I had to return the medium I bought for my husband since he fit into the small and now they don’t have xs or 18-24 months available. I am typically a women's medium, size 6 and 8. I ordered a small based on the size chart and it still is very large and baggy on me, even after washing. The extra smalls are now sold out, so I'm stuck with overpriced baggy pajamas for a family Christmas pj photo.
